Ron took Mom and Tara and I to the 49's and Jets on Sunday and the 49's kicked butt It was a great game and a good time had by all.

The SchoolHousePress Knit A Long

I started this blog several months ago with the help of my brother (thank you) a place to enter all of my many knitting projects. It seems like all I have been writing about is my walks and my grand kids but not much knitting since to the Olympics games. Although I have been walking a lot I also have found time to knit the last project was not easy.

I belong to a lot of different knitting groups on line 15 in all and they all have knit-a-longs were you talk about the project on line and share photo's boy there are a lot of people who can knit a lot better then me. So this is the latest

The Pansy Triangle Shawl

I think it turned out great so thank you Amy for your nice design and I look forward to doing your next knit a along. Mom thank you for getting the yarn for me I think the person that will be getting this for Christmas will like it a lot.

Next project is to get that red sweater off the needles for Mom.... Oh and I almost forgot I brought some of Revel's hair home and I have a small amount that I washed I'll need a lot more of his hair and I'll need to learn how to spin it so stick around someday their might be a scarf or a pair of socks made from this beautiful dog.

I walked from Aptos to Capitola and back

Friday my Brother, Tara and the two dogs Libby and Revel went for a walk I thought it was only going to be about 5 miles boy was I surprised the sun was out and the company was great. I love looking at all of the little cottages and yards the ocean is beautiful too and the otters are cute but the homes are something. So when I looked at my pedometer which I have been wearing everyday I was stuned we walked 12.40 miles that's 27,292 steps from my Brothers front door back to his front door (oh my) I have not walked that far in years. I know that Libby has never walked that far she did great and seemed to have a good time with her friend Revel.


I signed up for Chomp's It's my Life you have to submit weekly mileage report they want us to walk 10,000 steps a day every Wed you submit your steps at the end we get a t-shirt when this is done. It's only Sunday and already have 57, 650 steps since Monday I don't know how I'm going to top this every week.



Our next trip will be Toro Park but it will have to wait until January. In the mean time Libby and I will keep up walking.

Halloween 2008

Halloween for the Morris has always been a fun time we always were looking for ways to scar kids when they came to our house for candy. Sean and his family out did them self's this year with a Hunted House

What a difference a year makes

It has been almost 1 year since Tara and I have joined WeighWatchers what a difference one year can make.

Revel came to visit

Look Omi their is a wolf in the house Revel what big eyes you have and Revel what a large mouth you have I need a red cape Nathan does not know about Little Red Riding Hood but he will. We had a good time with my brother's family Revel is always a hit what a good dog. We had a nice dinner at Willy's on Cannery Row and the Ice Cream was so good thanks Ron.......

I updated my weight ticker whooooooooo 16 pounds to go...................... I must say It has taken what seems like forever to get to 36 pounds . I could not have done it without my Mother help she has been so good about cooking healthy last week we made 4 WeightWatchers meals .

Serendipity Farms is delivering farm fresh organic produce every Monday to the Hospital which we look forward to . In our box each week we find things like Strawberries, Green Beans, Rainbow Chard and mix Heirloom Tomatoes.

5 Months 2 Weeks until our trip.

Happy Birthday Tara

Looking good every new Mother needs a new camera and a new coffee pot I'm sure she can use both. Notice we had cup cakes not a real Birthday Cake that's because we have 3 days before the next WeightWatchers meeting Tara is doing great at 34 she has a good job been with Save Mart for 7 years and just applied for a job today as a front end Manager (more money) She seems to be very happy and as the weight keeps coming off she feels great. To date she has lost 72 pounds with the hope of still shedding 100 by the end of this year.

Mom and her friend Marion joined us for lunch checking out Tara and Nathan's new socks

Nathan thought the camera and coffee pot was ok but he picked out a new car for her also gave his mother a new pair of earings.

Happy Birthday Ean

Ean is 3 years old his friends came to join him for a very nice birthday party. Mom and Grandma Terri and his Great Grandma made lots of good food to eat and their were lots of gifts

I'm finished offical time 9:30 pm California time so I'm off to the Podium looking for Gold my socks look and feel great.

Ravelympic

My nails are to long and keep getting in my way might go over to the First Aid tent for some clippers but my sock is coming right along the cuff and leg are done on one sock and heel has been turned. I'm trying to get in 6 to 7 hours of knitting will I be done not sure I keep thinking about how good the Gold medal will feel around my neck. My coach (misslibby) is sleeping a lot today the workout last night was so hard on her.
